Robert Mapplethorpe
The Kunst Palast Museum explores the Greek mythological subject of Diana and Acteaon, and in turn desire, sexuality and death, in an exhibition whose works span from antiquity to now and range across all media. Robert Mapplethorpe was selected as one of the artists to represent this subject in contemporary art. Other artists include Auguste Rodin, Egon Schiele, Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Marlene Dumas and Cindy Sherman.
