Even though photography plays a central role in his oeuvre, Pierson applies an almost Impressionist approach on other media such as installation and word-pieces fabricated out of plastic and neon. His snap-shot aesthetic, as for example when he under - or overexposes a photograph, is used intentionally to underline the momentary. His recent work constructed on computer and transferred to canvas, creates a certain beauty that the artist terms his “decoration of life”.
