Thaddaeus Ropac is a leading Austrian gallerist focusing on contemporary and modern art. All of his galleries across Salzburg, London and Paris are known for being innovative and serene spaces. Opening in Le Marais, is an exhibition of photographs by Irving Penn that focuses on the pioneering American choreographer Anna Halprin. He took these photographs in his studio in 1967 during the improvisation The Bath as the dancers bathed in the natural light. The resulting fourteen photographs shown at Thaddaeus Ropac are reminiscent of The Bathers series by Paul Cezanne, which can be found in The National Gallery in London.
