The Evening Standard and The Independent have launched Food For London Now, an appeal to fund the provision of food to poor, elderly and vulnerable Londoners who have been impacted by the present crisis. Money raised will go to the appeal’s partner, The Felix Project, London’s largest food surplus distributor, with the aim of creating the city’s largest ever community kitchen. The appeal is organised by Evgeny Lebedev, owner of The Evening Standard and The Independent, and George Osborne, Former Chancellor of the Exchequer. Antony Gormley has donated his work ATTEND (2019) towards the cause.
