From the Studio Ali Banisadr

20 April 2020

In this episode of From the Studio, get a glimpse of the paintings Ali Banisadr was currently working on in his Brooklyn studio.

New works inspired by Dante’s Inferno are in progress ahead of his forthcoming exhibition at Museo Bardini and Palazzo Vecchio, Florence, later this year. Inspirational images from the past and swirling brushstrokes conflate to create a vibrant miniature collage of the days past in quarantine.

Artist Ali Banisadr keeps an organized studio in a two-level Brooklyn condominium, where the area dedicated to painting has a front-burner/back-burner setup. The front-burner end, outfitted with a supply-laden cart and a custom pegboard wall, is for the work in progress.
